The physical removal problem, solved

Junk Car Removal in Edmonton, Free, Fast and Paid

The hardest part of getting rid of a junk car usually isn't finding a buyer. It's physically moving a car that won't start, won't roll, or is boxed into a garage, an alley or a parkade.

That's the part we're built for. We remove junk cars from anywhere in Edmonton, bring the equipment to move vehicles that can't move themselves, and pay you for the car before it's loaded.

Removal Is Free. You Get Paid.

Some companies charge $100 to $200 to haul a junk car away. That makes sense only if the car has no value at all, and almost every car has some: steel, aluminum, the catalytic converter, and parts. Because we buy the vehicle, removal is part of the deal. You don't pay for the tow, and the price we quote isn't reduced to cover it.

We reach the difficult spots

Where Junk Cars Get Stuck, and How We Get Them Out

Driveways

The simplest pickup. If the car is nose-in against a garage door, we winch it straight back onto the flatbed. If another vehicle is parked behind it, have those keys handy.

Residential streets

Edmonton allows a vehicle on a city street for up to 72 consecutive hours unless signs say otherwise. After a 311 complaint, the owner gets a 72-hour warning. If the car still hasn't moved, it can be ticketed and towed to impound, and the owner pays the ticket, tow and storage. If your car is on the street with a notice on it, call us the same day.

Back alleys

Older Edmonton neighbourhoods like Westmount, Highlands, Ritchie, Bonnie Doon, Parkdale and Inglewood have narrow lanes, rear garages, power lines and fences close on both sides. Our drivers work these every week. Tell us if the lane is unplowed in winter so we can plan.

Single-car and detached garages

We winch the car out onto the pad, then onto the truck. If the car is in gear with no key, or the parking brake has seized, we use wheel dollies so the locked wheels don't drag on your floor.

Underground parkades

Condo and apartment parkades often have clearance of around 2 metres, too low for a standard tow truck. We move the car up the ramp on dollies or bring a low-clearance unit. Before booking, get permission from your building manager or condo board and tell us the posted clearance.

Backyards and side yards

If a car was driven in through a gate years ago, it can come out the same way. Measure the gate width if you can, and let us know about soft ground, steps or slopes.

Acreages and farm yards

Vehicles parked in a field or a shelterbelt for years sink into the soil, and their tires rot. We use winches and skates, and plan the visit for when the ground is firm or frozen so we don't leave ruts.

Snowbanks

Edmonton winters bury cars. Tires freeze to the ground and windrows build up beside them. Our drivers carry shovels and ice chippers, and we can usually break the tires free without damage. Clearing the snow around the car before we arrive speeds things up.

Your Removal Day Checklist

  • Take out everything personal: glove box, console, trunk, under the seats and the spare-tire well
  • Remove your licence plates. In Alberta they stay with you.
  • Remove toll or parking transponders, dash cams and garage door openers
  • Unpair your phone and clear saved addresses from the navigation system
  • Have your registration and original photo ID ready
  • Find the keys, if you have them
  • Clear snow or obstacles around the car if you can
  • Get building or property manager permission for parkades and shared lots

Don't drain fluids, pull the battery or remove the tires. Those are part of your price, and draining fluids yourself risks spills.

How a Removal Visit Works

Total time on site is usually about 20 minutes. Hard-to-reach cars take a little longer, but never cost more.

The driver calls or texts when they're on the way

They check the car matches the description: year, make, model, VIN and the main parts

You show ID and registration, and you both sign the bill of sale

Payment is sent by e-transfer, and you confirm it's arrived

The car is loaded and secured, usually in 5 to 15 minutes

Same day when available

How Fast Can You Remove It?

For most Edmonton addresses, same-day removal is possible when you call in the morning. Otherwise we'll book you for the next day. Evening and weekend removals are available. If you're working against a City notice, a move-out date or a condo deadline, tell us the date on the first call.

Junk Car Removal FAQs

Is junk car removal free in Edmonton?+

Yes, with us. We buy the car, so you never pay for removal.

Can you remove a car that's been parked for years?+

Yes. Long-parked cars with flat tires and seized brakes are routine.

Do I have to be home?+

The owner, or someone with written authorization, needs to sign and show ID. If the car is at another address, we can meet you there.

Can you remove a car from a tow yard or impound?+

Often, yes. You'll need to settle the yard's fees or tell us about them, and the yard must agree to release the car to us.

What if I don't own the car, it was just left on my property?+

Don't sell or scrap it. Abandoned vehicles on private property must go through a proper process first. Call us and we'll point you in the right direction.
